Syma Quadcopter Introduction

According to my experince, the Syma X5SW is more powerful than Syma Quadcopter X5C. Though not a high end photography platform that costs real money, it is a great entry to learn how to fly and position the camera, and an excellent second-step quadcopter to learn how to pilot one.

Syma Quadcopter Great Stability

To be frank, the Syma Quadcopter X5SW is pretty fun to fly, hard to destroy,  very stable and easy to set up as well. However, like Syma Quadcopter X5C, it is light weight, so don’t expect to fly it outside in the wind. But It is very responsive, easy to fly indoors in a small house.

Syma Quadcopter FPV Camera

As dor FPV,  it depends on your smartphone and an App. The IOS App is at the AppStore, but the Android version must be downloaded from the Syma site. The iPhone App has worked flawlessly.  Once the Syma Quadcopter FPV is installed in the smart phone, you can get a clear and crisp image (720p) on my phone screen. The App has the options to take a snapshot, to save the video (no memory card in the camera likeX5C), to play it back, and an icon to show the Wifi signal level.

Meanwhile, by using Headless/IOC, the forward direction has nothing to do with nose direction. This lessens the steepness of the learning curve and allows you to enjoy flight while slowly learning each specific orientation of the quad.

Similarly, the one key 360°roll, continuous roll enables perfect action and wonderful performance.

Syma Quadcopter Powerful Battery

It’s worth mentioning that I really like the way the battery door works and the fact that there is an on off switch on the copter. Battery life is approx. 6 minutes per battery.

All in all, this Syma X5SW quad is amazing for the price. So far I’m very impressed and see no reason not to give this a high rating.  I would recommend this to anyone considering a quadcopter.
