Syma RC Helicopter Introduction

After flying the 8.7 inch Syma S107G indoor heli for about one month now, I have to say that this syma RC Helicopter is one of the most under-rated RC heli out there. I got a blue one, and  find it much fun to fly. It has only 3.5-way controls, but competes surprisingly well with the likes of the Blade MCX2 with 4-way controls. Actually, a lot of action can be achieved with this little guy: up & down, forward & backward, left & right, hover nicely. Take quite the beating indeed!

I am very pleased with the quality, with Doube-check propeller, alloy fuselage, high tenacity rotor winf and gyro, which help it stay steady and flexible during flight. The trim metal body and snug plastic hood fit well. And after many trial crashes the Syma S107G, I am literally surprised that I haven’t broken it yet.

Syma RC Helicopter Easy-Control System

It is fairly easy to control. The controller has two different joy sticks: One is for throttle, the other for control. It requires six AA batteries( not included) to power the controller. Meanwhile, the controller can also charge the helicopter using the AA batteries. This is great if you are out and don’t have a portable battery charger. Of course, it can also be charged by USB cable to PC/Tablet.  Yet there is a fly in the ointment, its control distance is about 10m.

Well, I’ve got about 7 minutes flight time after charging it every 50 minutes.That blinking navigational light in the helicopter’s nose makes it look positively sentient when it is hovering in front of you. It is really a great night flyer as well!

There is no denying that the Syma S107G is really a nice heli for beginners. You won’t be disappointed!!
