Actually, a lot of action can be achieved with this little guy: up & down, forward & backward, left & right, hover nicely. Take quite the beating indeed!

After flying this Syma S107G heli indoors for about one month, I have to say that this thing is one of the most under-rated RC heli out there. I got a red(+blue, yellow) one, and find it great fun to fly. It has only 3-way controls, but competes surprisingly well with the likes of the Blade MCX2 with 4-way controls , anyone can hover it easily.
I am very pleased with the quality, with Double-deck propeller, alloy fuselage, vernier adjustment, knob design and gyro, which help it stay steady and flexible during flight. The trim metal body and snug plastic hood fit well. Made of alloy fuselage, it is very light weight and almost indestructible in any crash, perfect for very first time beginners. After many trial, I am literally surprised that I haven’t broken it yet.
Also, Helicopter Syma is fairly easy to control. The controller has two different joy sticks: One is for throttle, the other for control. It can fly in 6 directions: Rotate Clockwsie / Anti-Clockwise, Move Forward / Backward, Move Up / Down.
That blinking navigational light in the Syma S107G Helicopter Syma nose makes it look positively sentient when it is hovering in front of you. Really a great night flyer!
Meanwhile, the included USB cable allows the Helicopter Syma to be recharged in just around 30 mins or less, when you plug it into a PC/Tablet. You can also charge it direct from the remote. According to my experince, the Syma X5SW is more powerful than Syma Quadcopter X5C. Though not a high end photography platform that costs real money, it is a great entry to learn how to fly and position the camera, and an excellent second-step quadcopter to learn how to pilot one.

I have played with this Syma X5SC-1 several days and find it very easy to fly and get it to do what you want. As a matter of fact, I was able to get the hang of Syma Quadcopter camera pretty quick as it is very stable as well, no need to trim them out at all. In my point of view, this thing is pretty easy for beginners to learn with and enjoy. Cool little drone!!
