This UdiRC U818A is a great flying little quad. The auto-stabilization make it great for someone learning to fly as well as a stable platform for practicing aerial photography.
After conquering the market of mini quadcopters, Chinese manufacturers are trying to turning out something new: hexacopters. WLtoys dares to be the first ,thus, the newly-released WLtoys Q282G FPV hexacopter becomes the world’s first micro hexacopter with 5.8Ghz transmission.
Wltoys RC Multicopter LED Display
Clearly, the design looks very cool and shiny, featuring a lot of LEDs on the bottom and front, like bright blue eyes in the darkness. It even has different colored propellers for the front and a set of spare props should you break one.
Due to its size(13.7 x 13 x 5cm), this guy can truly fly at anytime and anywhere. Of course, other mini drones can also perform the normal movements and 3D flip, the difference is this little hexacopter has much greater stability, thus providing safer flight and better aerial photography. Meanwhile, it also possesses such nice features as headless mode and one-key return.
Wltoys RC Multicopter Excellent Video Quality
Obviously, the drone itself looks very much like the Q272, but the difference is the FPV function. It has a built-in 2MP camera to capture pictures and record videos. Nothing special but with a 4GB micro SD card, so there is nothing extra to buy to get this going. Just upload the images to computer and then share online. In this sense, the Q282G is more expensive than the Q272 but still a decently priced FPV hexacopter at $95.
Unlike most of small-sized ones(Hubsan’s X4 H107D is an exception), the full scale remote controller is very comfortable to hold and easy to operate. The transmitter has a long range of 80m so you are able to get some really cool shots from high altitude. Also, it has a monitor on-board, so you don’t have to spend extra cash to get an FPV monitor.
To put it simply, this WLtoys Q282G FPV micro hexacopter will surely excite your feeling!!

After achieving a great success of the JJRC H8 in 2014, this year the JJRC is trying for another win. This newly-released JJRC H22 is born at the right moment. Does this thing have any particular strengths?
RC Quadcopter JJRC Great Movements
As advertised, the H22 is mainly characterized by its inverted flights, which means it can fly up side down, thus easily getting you excited and capturing the attention of the crowd. Just awesome once you made it!! Of course, other normal movements such as: up/down, forward/ backward, turn left/ right, 3D flip, hovering etc., are simply a piece of cake. Another great feature is its extremely attractive lower price around $20.
Also, like other quality quads of its kind, it’s worth mentioning that it features headless mode , one key to return, and dual flight speed mode (Low 40% and High 100%). Needless to say, this will make it much easier to control and hard to lose for beginners.
As installed with four guard circles around the blades to avoid crashing, it enables you to just fly boldly. Additionally, the motors are fully wrapped, well stabilized and produces fast rotation, thus providing strong power for flying.
RC Quadcopter JJRC High Battery Efficiency
Meanwhile, the H22 comes with a 220mAh battery which offers about 7 minutes of flight time after charging 45 mins, not long enough but still acceptable and good to have fun. Considering its small size(16.8×16.8×9.6cm), it’s more suitable for flying indoors. Theoretically, you can also take it outside under the mild weather.
In simple terms, although not the best in its class, this JJRC H22 still excites my feeling for its novel design and inverted flight. And honest speaking, you just can not beat it for the price. Actually, you get the best bang for the buck here since it really is a good choice among small to mini-sized quads.
Quadcopter JJRC Introduction
The JJRC H8 is in a class of its own. It has red and blue led lights on it and it lights up and looks really cool. Smaller and just as nimble as a Hubsan, very stable in hovering like a Syma X5, this one flies like a dream. I fly it around the house every day, and am very happy with the performance and durability. Easy to fly after a little practice and so far tough as nails. I’m so addicted to this little toy.
Take some time to get use to it, and you’ll be rewarded with excellent flying experience. This thing can fly both indoors and outdoors, even in windy conditions (around 10 MPH). It cuts through the wind like it isn’t there! Neat stuff!
Quadcopter JJRC Different Player Level Mode
There are 3 modes: beginner, intermediate (best for outdoors flight) and headless. To my surprise, headless flight actually works. No matter how you turn the quad, it will remember forwards and go in that direction. I’ve had it 200 feet away easily where I could barely see it but return home/headless mode would be of much help.
Easy to fly in beginner mode. Switch to expert mode when you’re ready for insane speed reaching up to 30mph on a full charge and control. I’m guessing yaw rate is about 3 spins or more per second, never seen any other quad being crazy fast like this. Watch out for ceiling fans, air condition vents, HDTVs, and anything containing liquid. It has quick acceleration, I had popcorn from ceiling everywhere.
Quadcopter JJRC High Battery Efficiency
I charge in about 40 minutes, and flies for 5-8 minutes. It comes with a screwdriver to be able to open the battery port of the controller to insert the batteries. Then connect the ends on the drone for it to be able to power up. You can swap out batteries for multiple flights. Buy more batteries so you can keep playing with it and not waiting on a charge. However, I don’t like the fact that there is no power switch on the quad.
All things considered, the JJRC H8 is great to learn on if you are planning on investing in a full sized one. Definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of getting into quad copters. You can’t go wrong!

JJRC RC quadcopter Introduction
This JJRC F180 is a great copter to practice your aerobatic skills or if your on your journey to becoming an accomplished multi rotor pilot. It can take all the tumbles and rolls of aggressive flying over grass. It looks small but it’s OK with blades protection.
Syma Quadcopter Introduction
According to my experince, the Syma X5SW is more powerful than Syma Quadcopter X5C. Though not a high end photography platform that costs real money, it is a great entry to learn how to fly and position the camera, and an excellent second-step quadcopter to learn how to pilot one.
